Dr. Rebecca Twietmeyer, known best as “Dr. Becky” by her patients, is proud to be a fifth generation Kansas native. She attended Kansas State University to complete her undergraduate degree in 1977, then attended The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where she graduated in 1981. Following her graduation from UMKC, she attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon completing a general practice dental residency in 1982. After her residency, she returned home to Emporia, Kansas until she settled into her practice in Cheney, Kansas in 1984.
She has contributed to the community by volunteering her time and expertise to children by visiting area schools; providing dental education and screenings. In 2005, Dr. Becky had an opportunity to travel with Medical Teams International to provide dental care to children in a Cambodia orphanage. She also volunteered at The Sedgwick County Health Department, Children’s Clinic, and the Kansas Mission of Mercy (KMOM). Additionally, she helped introduce the optimal fluoridation of the Cheney Municipal Water Supply.
She continues to hold affiliations with The Wichita District Dental Society, Kansas Dental Society, The American Dental Society and The Omirron Kappa Upsilon-Honorary Dental Society.
